Build and test the circuit
Free form solder the parts together:
Solder two wires to the speaker
Turn the IC on its back and carefully bend the legs out:
Gently fold legs 2 and 6 towards each other
Using bare bus or stripped wire connect 2 and 6 together
Clip extra wire
Attach the 680pF capacitor to pins 1 and 2
Clip extra wires
Connect black wires from pins 1 and 2. Pin 1 will go to GND, pin 2 is the noise wire
Trim the electrolytic capacitor
Attach the positive lead to pin 3
Connect the GND lead to the + lead of your speaker and connect a black wire from pin 1 to the the GND lead of the speaker.
Fold the resistor like this
Using the resistor, connect pins 7 to 8
Connect a red wire to pin 8
Connect another red wire to pin 7. This is the noise wire
Fold the 1µF capacitor over the IC and solder 1 lead to pin 5.
Solder the other lead to pin 1
Connect your GND wires to the GND terminal of your battery holder
Connect a red wire to the positive lead of your battery holder
Connect the other end of the red wire to a snap
Connect the other end of the red wire attached to pin 8 to the other side of the snap
Test, then hot glue the circuit
Build the enclosure
Make a template
Cut holes in ONE piece of felt
Cut 4 circles of conductive fabric and iron them over the holes
Make loops with the needle nose pliers
Sew the circles together
Decorate with conductive thread
Place the hot glued circuit on the felt
Add eyes
Sew and Stuff.
