• What things did you notice? What kinds of interactions happen in this space? What interactions occurred because of the space? What interactions were in spite of the space? How did people move in the space? Quickly, slowly, or lingering in some areas and not others, or gathering? What about the space caused those interactions? (In other words, long, thin corridors encourage people to move through them in certain ways. Larger, more open, taller spaces might cause people to gather or linger.)

Assignment 1:

• Sketch out a space in 2D that you would like people to interact in. Then model that space in 3D. Think about quality of light, the size of the space, the color and texture of the finishes, the forms, the particular style of this place.
