Erosion & 3D Printing

3D Modeling and Printing a Small Residence to Enhance an Erosion Lesson
(2-3 grade)

This lesson was contributed by Ryan Francis Cain of PS 3 in Brooklyn, NY.

Purpose:

Students will be presented with a real world problem of building a home near a river. Their three dimensional buildings created with 3DTin.com CAD software will show the impact of erosion.

Objectives:

Students will be able to design their own building on the computer and output a real plastic building on the Thing-O-Matic.
